The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity basketball team picked up a victory on Friday over the Tahoka Lady Dogs, 67-44, at Wildcat Gymnasium.
With the win, the Lady Cats improve to 1-3 overall on the season.
Littlefield outscored Tahoka, 209, in the first quarter behind 13 points from senior, Madison McNeese. Junior, Kyndal Edgemon, netted four points in the second frame to help the Lady Cats extend their lead to, 33-20, heading into the locker room at halftime.
Jazmine Barrios tallied four of Littlefield’s 17 third-quarter points to help the Lady Cats push their lead out to, 50-33, going into the final quarter of play. In the fourth quarter, Edgemon dropped in six points and junior, Kennadi Hanlin, was three-for-four from the free throw line to help cement the victory for the Lady Cats, 67-44.
The Lady Cats were led by McNeese, who netted 20 points in the contest. She was joined in double- figures scoring by Edgemon, who tallied 15 points and Arianna Cruz, who finished with 10 points. Maerysa Saenz contributed seven points, while Barrios chipped in six points and Hanlin finished with four points in the contest.
The Lady Cats hosted Sundown on Monday. Results were not available at press time. They will continue their season on Nov. 29th with a home game against Hereford.
Tip-off is scheduled for 6:15 p.m.
