Lady Wolverine XC team places second at District, heading to Regional Meet

    The Springlake-Earth varsity girl’s cross country team placed second overall at the District 41A Cross Country Meet at Plainview on Tuesday with 39 points.

    The Lady Wolverines were led by two- time defending state champion junior, Taytum Goodman, who placed first overall, blazing to a time of 11:37.47.

    Freshman, Aabriella Villanueva, placed second with a time of 13:43.69, and Emma Samaron placed eighth with a time of 14:15.02. Aryca Ibarra placed 13th with a time of 15:03.41, while Rylie Furr finished 15th with a time of 15:18.72.

    Jenna Bridges finished 22nd with a time of 16:02.02, while Marisela Rodriguez finished 23rd with a time of 16:05.78.

    The Lady Wolverines will be competing at the Regional Meet at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock on Oct. 24th and 25th.
