The Sudan Nettes’ varsity cross country team finished as the District 4-2A Runner-ups on Monday with 65 points at the District Cross County Meet that was ran at Lubbock Christian University.
The Nettes were led by Aubrey Lopez, who placed sixth overall with a time of 14:09, and Emma Armstrong, who placed eighth overall with a time of 14:30.
Carly Groetken finished 13th with a time of 15:05, while Isaura Jimenez finished 15th, clocking a time of 15:12, and Kalissa Harris finished 16th with a time of 15:14. Lillianna Sanchez finished 21st with a time of 15:30, while Claire Kerby finished 29th with a time of 16:29.
On the JV side, Danyelle Castillo finished sixth with a time of 15:59.
The Nettes will be running at the Regional Meet on Oct. 24th and 25th at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock.
