The Littlefield Lady Cats’ 10u Softball team competed at the Southwest Regional Softball Tournament, which was held in Brownfield this past weekend, where they finished third overall.
The Lady Cats lost their first game to the Defending World Series Champion Louisiana, 22-0, but bounced back in their next game to take down Hereford, 9-3.
In the third round of the tournament, they took down the host team Brownfield, 13- 0, to advance to the Semi-Finals.
However, in the Semi-Finals, they fell to Arkansas, 17- 0, ending their tournament run, as they fell one game short of the championship.
Along with finishing third place as a team, the Lady Cats brought home some individual awards as well, as Rylee miller won an award for Best Sportsmanship, while Haylie Soliz won an award for semifinal MVP and Jasmine Ortiz won award for Defensive Player in the Semi-Finals.
