The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team closed out the regular season on Tuesday as undefeated district champions with a 91-42, victory on the road against Morton.
With the win, the Nettes finish district play 8-0 as they get set to make a play-off run.
In the first quarter, Sudan netted 27 points and they added 23 in the second frame to take a, 50-17, lead into the locker room at halftime.
The Nettes kept it going in the second half, pouring in 21 points in the third quarter and 20 points in the final frame en route to a blowout victory.
Addison Boehning tallied 21 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals, while Gracyn Shultz chipped in 16 points, five steals, two assists and two rebounds, and Stevi Lockhart contributed 11 points, two rebounds, two assists and one block.
Riley Edens added nine points, six rebounds, two steals and one block, while Sydney Cornelius contributed eight points, two assists and two steals, and Braelyn Pointer added eight points, four steals, two rebounds and two assists.
Liz Sital chipped in six points, eight assists, three rebounds and two steals, while Elaine Martinez contributed six points, five rebounds, four assists and one steal, Landree Gonzales added three points, four rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block, and Kambry Tolbert finished with three points, six rebounds and two assists.
The Nettes will take on the Smyer Lady Cats on Monday at Frenship High School in the Class 2A Bi-district round of the play-offs.
