Sudan held a three-point lead after quarter number one, but Sundown would rally back to take the lead, 28-27, going into the locker room at halftime.
Sundown outscored the Nettes, 16-13, to open the second half, taking a, 44-40, lead into the final quarter of play. But, in the fourth quarter, Sudan outscored the Roughettes, 25-9, to take the contest, 65-53.
Stevi Lockhart led the team in scoring with 31 points, to go along with five rebounds, three blocks, two assists and two steals, while Addison Boehning joined her in double-figures scoring with 14 points. She also had three steals, three rebounds and one assist, while Gracyn Shultz added 11 points, three rebounds, three steals and two assists.
Liz Sital tallied five points, nine assists, four steals, two rebounds and one block, while Riley Edens added four points and four rebounds and Elaine Martinez tallied one rebound and one assist. Landree Gonzales chipped in two rebounds and one steal, while Sydney Cornelius finished with four rebounds, one assist and one steal.
The Nettes closed out the regular season on Tuesday. Results were not available at press time. They await their Bi-district matchup in the first-round of the Class 2A State Basketball Play-offs.
