Nettes throttle Lady Eagles at home, 64-17

The Sudan Nettes stayed unbeaten in district play on Tuesday with a victory over the Seagraves Lady Eagles, 64-17.

With the win, the Nettes improve to 5-0 in district play.

It was a low-scoring affair early-on, with Sudan holding a, 7-2, lead going into quarter number two. But the Nettes’ offense was ignited in the second frame, as they went off for 32 points, stretching their lead to, 39-6, going into the locker room at halftime.

They added 18 points in the third quarter and both teams notched seven points in the fourth, as Sudan took the contest, 64-17.

Addison Boehning led the team in scoring with 25 points, to go along with seven steals, four rebounds and four assists, while Liz Sital chipped in eight points, four rebounds, three steals and one assist, and Stevi Lockhart contributed seven points, six rebounds, four steals, one block and one assist.

Gracyn Shultz tallied seven points, three steals, two rebounds and two assists, while Braelyn Pointer contributed six points, four rebounds and one steal, and Landree Gonzalez notched four points, one assist and one steal. Kambry Tolbert tallied four points, three rebound and one assist, while Riley Edens contributed three points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals, and Elaine Martinez added five rebounds and one assist. Sydney Cornelius finished with three rebounds, three assists and one steal.

The Nettes were at Plains on Friday for their second meeting with the Cowgirls. Results were not available at press time. They will continue their season on Friday with a home game against Sundown.

Tip-off is scheduled for 6:15 p.m.
