The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team picked up a district win over Plains on Tuesday, 62- 46
Ẇith the win, the Nettes improve to 15-10 overall, 2-0 in district play.
Sudan jumped out to a, 23-14, lead, and added 17 points in the second frame to take a, 40-22, lead into the locker room at halftime. Both teams notched 11 points in the third quarter, while Plains outscored Sudan, 13-11, but the Nettes took the contest, 62-46.
Addison Boehning led the team in scoring with 27 points, to go along with six steals, five rebounds and five assists, while Stevi Lockhart tallied 11 points, four assists three rebounds, two steals and one block. Liz Sital chipped in nine points, three assists, three steals and two rebounds, while Gracyn Shultz contributed eight points, four assists, two steals and one rebound.
Braelyn Pointer tallied seven points, three steals and two rebounds, while Sydney Cornelius notched two rebounds, Landree Gonzales tallied two rebound and one block, Kambry Tolbert added one rebound and one steal and Elaine Martinez finished with three steals and two rebounds.
The Nettes will be back in action on Tuesday with a road game against Sundown.
Tip-off is scheduled for 6:15 p.m.
