The Sudan Hornets’ varsity basketball team took down the Tulia Hornets last Friday, 58-35.
With the win, the Hornets improve to 7-11 overall on the year.
Sudan jumped out to a, 12-9, lead in the first quarter and they outscored Tulia, 12-3, in the second frame to take a, 24-12, lead into the locker room at halftime.
Sudan came out hot in the third quarter, as they poured in 18 points, pushing their lead to, 42-21, going into the final quarter of play. In the fourth quarter, Sudan outscored Tulia, 16-14, taking the contest, 58-35.
Sudan was led by Christian Delgado, who tallied 14 points, five steals, two rebounds and one assist, while Kye Pole chipped in 12 points, five rebounds, twos teals and one assist, and Aspen Reyher contributed 11 points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals.
Haden Provence added 11 points, four assists, three rebounds, three steals and one block, while Brian Delgado tallied four points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals, and Dylan Provence added two points, one steal and one rebound. Kyler Edwards chipped in two points, two rebounds, two steals and one assist, while Andrew Larson added two points and two rebounds.
Aaron Moore led the team in steals with six, while adding three rebounds and one assist.
