Trusting the God of the New...
Dear friends, I hope and pray to find you blessed and favored in the Lord.
As we come to the end of 2025 and stand at the doorway of a new year, many of us are remembering of what this past year has held. There have been moments of joy and growth, along with challenges that stretched us in ways we didn’t expect. The changing of the calendar gives us a natural pause—a chance to breathe, reflect, and prepare our hearts for what’s ahead.
God’s words in Isaiah 43:18–19 speaks gently into this moment and says: “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
Dear friends, God is not asking us to erase our memories or deny our experiences. No, instead, He invites us not to live stuck in them. Whether the past year brought disappointment, loss, or even success, God reminds us that He is always moving forward, always creating, always bringing new life. The story is not over.
As we step into the new year, we have an opportunity to release what weighs us down and to trust God with what we cannot yet see. Even when the path ahead feels uncertain, God promises to make a way and to walk with us through every season.
May this new year begin with a simple but powerful choice: to trust Jesus finished work on the cross... His redemptive plan of Salvation for all who would choose to believe in Him.
Romans 10:9-13 says: 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Dear friends, if you haven’t done so yet, with your own heart and mouth, will you allow Jesus Christ to rule your hearts now, and going forward? As we place our lives under His loving leadership, is the only way we find direction, peace, and the confidence to face whatever comes next—knowing He goes before us and walks beside us every step of the way. May you have a blessed, abundant, and prosperous New Year With Love, Pastor Billy Montes
