Dear Editor, Thank you so much for publishing the very informative article on Bronchiectasis in the Wednesday, November 12, 2025 issue of the Lamb County Leader-News! I have been dealing with this disease for many years, but most people have never heard of it.
I had recurring bouts of what was always diagnosed as bronchitis and was hospitalized a number of times. I saw general practitioners, an Internist, an Oncologist, a Cardiologist, and a Pulmonologist, but was never diagnosed correctly. I went to Denver, Colorado in May of 2012 to the National Jewish Health Hospital and after five days of various tests was diagnosed with Bronchiectasis. With proper treatment and medications I have been able to manage it without any more hospitalizations since then.
