The Littlefield Wildcat and Lady Cats’ varsity and JV cross country teams competed at the District 2-3A District Cross Country Meet on Monday at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock.
The Wildcats were led by NoahVillanueva, who punched his ticket to Regionals, placing second overall, clocking a time of 17:18.75.
Isaac Mata finished 23rd overall with a time of 20:28.99, whileAnastasioAyala finished 34th overall with a time of 21:45.36, andAydan Manicchia finished 44th with a time of 23:04.79.
The Lady Cats were led by Anaei Ojeda, who finished 16th overall with a time of 14:36.59. Amy Trejo finished 33rd with a time of 15:23.61, while Jazmin Almance finished 38th with a time of 15:57.98.
In the JV boy’s race, they were led by KadenApplegate, who finished seventh overall with a time of 22:36.88. Craig Jennings finished 12th overall with a time of 23:50.90, while Jacob Rodriguez finished 16th with a time of 24:19.85.
Jay Ramirez finished 18th with a time of 25:33.20, while Luke McKinnerney finished 20th with a time of 25:45.66, and Carlos Almance finished 25th with a time of 27:34.88. Nehemiah Beanes finished 26th with a time of 27:35.85, while Ky Hays finished 27th with a time of 27:36.69, and Brayden Black finished 30th with a time of 28:40.74.
In the girl’s JV race, Alyson Hernandez finished 11th overall with a time of 17:25.36. Bailee Griffin finished 23rd with a time of 18:48.61, while Rhealee Golden finished 26th with a time of 19:00.79.
Villanueva will run at the 3A Regional Cross Country Meet at Mae Simmons on Monday, October 20th at 9:30 a.m.
