The Sudan Nettes’ varsity softball team shut out the New Deal Lady Lions on Monday, 15-0.
With the win, the Nettes improve to 14-10-1 overall on the year.
Danielle Mitchell threw four innings in the circle for the Nettes, giving up two hits and two walks, while striking out five batters in the contest.
At the plate, Mitchell led the way with four hits, including a homerun, two doubles and a triple and seven RBI’s, while Daniella Ramirez finished with three hits and three RBI’s, including a three- run homerun, which makes six for her on the season. That mark broke the school record set by Gracyn Shultz in 2022.
Andrea Williams tallied two hits, including a double, one walk and two RBI’s, while Haylee Toscano chipped in three hits, including two doubles, one walk and one RBI, and Lillianna Sanchez added two hits, including a double and Kalissa Harris finished with two hits, including a triple.
The Nettes will be at New Deal on Thursday to close out the regular season.
First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m.
