The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team fell on the road to Sundown last Tuesday, 69-57.
With the loss, the Nettes fall to 1-1 overall on the season.
Sundown jumped out to a, 2113, lead in the opening quarter, and they added 18 points in the second frame, as Sudan trailed the Roughettes, 39-26, at the half.
Sudan responded to open the second half with 15 points in the third quarter and 16 points in the fourth quarter, but fell to Sundown on the road, 69-57.
Eddete Herrera led the team with 13 points, six rebounds, four steals and two assists, while Addison Cornelius tallied 10 points, four steals, three rebounds and one assist, and Kaileigh Greenwalt chipped in nine points, four steals, three rebounds, one assist and one block.
Andrea Williams contributed nine points, two rebounds and one steal, while Haylee Toscano chipped in seven points, two rebounds and two steals, and Lexi Jennings added three points, two steals one rebound and one assist. Emry Humphreys added three points, two rebounds and one steal, while Raquel Aremendariz tallied two points, two steals and one rebound, and Masyn Provence chipped in one points, four rebounds and one steal.
Erica Herrera added two steals and one rebound and Kalissa Harris finished with one rebound and one assist.
