The Sudan High School Cross Country teams competed at the District 3-2A Cross Country Meet at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock on Tuesday, where the girls placed third overall as a team, advancing to Regionals.
The Nettes were led by freshman, Anneke Van De Pol, who finished sixth overall, clocking a time of 14:07.53.
Freshman, Andrea Williams finished seventh overall with a time of 14:09.47, while junior, Aubrey Lopez, finished 12th overall, clocking a time of 14:21.97, and junior, Kalissa Harris, finished 17th overall with a time of 15:19.98.
Junior, Danyelle Castillo, finished 23rd overall with a time of 16:00.22, while sophomore, Krissy Harris, finished 25th overall with a time of 16:41.56, and freshman, Raquel Armendariz, finished 26th with a time of 16:53.05.
On the boy’s side, Samuel Briseno placed third overall to advance to Regionals, clocking a time of 19:27.21.
Regionals will be held on Monday, Oct. 21st at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock. The girls will run at 9 a.m. and the boys will run at 9:30 a.m.
