The Springlake-Earth varsity cross country teams competed at the Lubbock ISD Invitational at Mae Simmons Park.
The boys were led by sophomore, Kaylob Frietze, who finished 16th overall with a time of 19:14.7. Sophomore, Nathan Ramos, finished 62nd with a time of 22:24.8, while freshman, Josiah Castillo, finished 94th with a time of 26:16.8.
The girls finished ninth overall as a team and were led by senior, Aryca Ibarra, who finished eighth overall, clocking a time of 13:56.0. Bitty Villanueva finished 27th overall with a time of 14:38.0, while sophomore, Yareli Cortez, finished 53rd with a time of 15:39.0.
Senior, Marisela Rodriguez, finished 76th overall with a time of 16:32.1, while freshman, Brizza Reyes, finished 91st with a time of 17:58.0, and sophomore, Jocelyn Salas, finished 96th with a time of 18:21.8.
The Springlake-Earth varsity cross country teams will be competing at the LCU Chap Invitational on Sept. 14th.
