Wildcats throttle Tahoka in home-opener, 89-29

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity basketball team throttled the Tahoka Bulldogs last Friday in their home-opener, 89-29.

With the win, the Wildcats improve to 2-0 overall on the season.

The Wildcats exploded out of the gates with a 28-point first quarter, and they added 24 points in the second frame to take a, 52-14, lead into the locker room at halftime.

In the third quarter, the Wildcats outscored Tahoka, 22-7, extending their lead to, 74-21, and in the final frame, they outscore Tahoka, 10-8, to take the contest, 89-29.

The Wildcats were led in scoring by Jeremiah Trevino, who netted 18 points, to go along with 11 rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block. He was joined in double-figures scoring by Omar Martinez, who chipped in 15 points, four assists, one rebound, one steal and one block, while Jayden Barrio tallied 15 points, six steals, one rebound and one assist.

Ryan Williams contributed 15 points, five rebounds, five steals and three assists, while Chip Green added 11 points, five rebounds, three assists and one steal, and Sir Pratt tallied four points, six rebounds, two blocks and one steal.

MJ Randle contributed two points, three steals, two rebounds and one assist, while Ja’Den Williams added two points, three rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block and Kam McCarty finished with two points, two rebounds and two asssists.
