County Commissioners hold regular meeting Monday

The Lamb County Commissioner’s Court held their regular meeting on Monday, Jan. 9th, in the Lamb County Courthouse to discuss a 10-item agenda. Judge James M. DeLoach called the meeting to order and there was no one present for Public Comment.

2023 Lamb County Junior Stock Show Results

The Lamb County Junior Livestock Show concluded on Saturday where there were 163 animals were shown on Saturday, Jan. 7th, by exhibitors from 4-H and FFA Clubs from Amherst, Littlefield, Springlake- Earth, Sudan and Olton. Judging began around 8 a.m.

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is set to begin a $2.19 million project to make safety improvements to US 84 in Lamb and Hockley counties, from FM 1072 to the Lubbock County Line. The project will add more than 10.

Retired Teachers Assoc. to meet Tuesday, Jan. 10th

The Lamb County Retired Teachers Association will meet on Tuesday, January 10, at 10 a.m. in the fellowship hall of the United Methodist Church at 700 E. 14th Street. The program will be brought by the District 17 president, Judy Kennedy, and the District Legislative Chair, Eric McKnight.

South Plains College’s Fall 2022 President’s List

South Plains College congratulates more than 340 students who were named to the Fall 2022 President’s List. Local students include: Diego Caudillo, Logan Galbraith, Amber Longoria-Lopez, Marisa Pennington, Mayra Rico, Dalilah Rodriguez, and Jason Wiren alld of Littlefield.

Angelo State Fall Graduates

Angelo State University conferred 643 undergraduate and graduate degrees on 640 graduates during the 2022 fall commencement exercises on Dec. 10, 2022, at the Junell Center/Stephens Arena in San Angelo, Texas.

Commissioners to meet Monday

A meeting of the Lamb County Commissioners’ Court will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2023, in the Lamb County Courthouse, where a 10–item agenda will be considered for appropriate action. After the Call to order, the public may request to make a public comment on any of the agenda items.

Lamb County Library sets January Schedule

The Lamb County Library has released their January newsletter. The Lily Society, a Christian Women’s Book Club, will be meeting Thursday, Jan 5 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. The book will be “The Librarian of Boone’s Hollow. On Thursday, Jan. 19, the club will meet at 6:30 p.m. and the book will be “Nine”.
