Texas unemployment rate drops in December, state adds 29,500 Jobs

In December 2022, Texas added 29,500 positions, reaching a total of 13,705,500 nonfarm jobs in Texas. December marked the 14th consecutive record employment high in Texas, after the state first surpassed the pre-COVID level in November 2021.

Nathan A. Garcia arrested on four charges, taken into Federal custody

Nathan Alexander Garcia was arrested on July 20, 2022, by the Littlefield Police Department after a nearly four-month-long investigation. Garcia was arrested on four offenses including Possession of Child Pornography 43.26(d) Penal Code F3; Online Solicitation of a Minor Sexual Conduct 33.

Commissioners hold regular meeting Monday

The Lamb County Commissioner’s Court held their regular meeting on Monday, Jan. 23rd, in the Lamb County Courthouse to discuss a sseven-item agenda. Judge James M. DeLoach called the meeting to order at 10:03 a.m. and there was no one present for Public Comment.

Commissioners to meet Monday

A meeting of the Lamb County Commissioners’ Court will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 23, 2023, in the Lamb County Courthouse, where a 7—item agenda will be considered for appropriate action. After the Call to order, the public may request to make a public comment on any of the agenda items.

Earth-Springlake Jr. Livestock Show entires at barn Wednes.

The 2023 Earth-Springlake Junior Livestock Show will begin Wednesday, Jan. 25, when 4-H Club and FFA Chapter members get their animals in place, and have their weights turned by 6 p.m. The show will begin on Thursday, Jan. 26th and continued on Friday, Jan 27.
