Littlefield School Board meets in regular session

The Littlefield Independent School District’s Board of Trustees met in regular session on Thursday, April 20th to discuss a 16-item agenda. The meeting was called to order by Board President Lance Broadhurst and he also gave the Invocation.

Adrian Garcia set to continue football career at McPherson College

Littlefield senior defensive lineman, Adrian Garcia, signed his Letter of Intent last Monday during a ceremony in the Littlefield High School Library to continue his academic and football career at McPherson College in Kansas. “It’s a real honor,” Adrian said.

Commissioners hold regular meeting Friday

The Commissioners Court of Lamb County met in regular session on Friday, April 21st, to discuss a 10-item agenda. The meeting was called to order by Lamb County Judge James DeLoach at 10 a.m. and he gave the invocation.

Anton Cemetery Assoc. to hold fundraiser lunch

The Anton Cemetery Association will be holding a Fundraiser Luncheon, sponsored by the Anton Cemetery Association on Sunday, April 30th. The event will be from 11 a.m. until they run out of supplies and will be held at the Lawrence Avenue Church of Christ Annex in Anton.

Littlefield Rotary Club to host Luncheon Wednesday, April 26

Plans are well underway for the 2023 Administrative Professionals Day Luncheon, which is being co-sponsored by the Littlefield Rotary Club. The fun-time event will be served Wednesday, April 26, 2023, starting at 11:30 a.m., in the MAC Center of First Baptist Church, 400 East 6th Street.

Severe Weather Spotter Training Session to be held Monday, April 24

You are invited to attend a National Weather Service Skywarn Training Session ( Severe Weather Spotter Training). This course is an excellent course for the General Public, EMS, Police Officers, S.O. Officers and Firefighters. The course will be held on Monday, April 24th from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

TxDOT calls for safe driving in work zones

Work zone crash fatalities decreased for the first time since 2018 AUSTIN – Following a year in which fewer people were killed in work zone crashes in Texas, TxDOT is calling on all drivers to stay vigilant and help continue that downward trend.

Littlefield ISD breaks ground on New High School

On Wednesday, April 19,2023 citizens of Littlefield gathered to witness the groundbreaking for a new building and renovations which will offer students new career skills training in addition to a quality education.
