‘Christmas for Kids’ applications due Friday

The annual Lamb County Sheriff’s Office “Christmas for Kids” Toy Drive is going on right now. The Sheriff’s Office will begin to take applications for their annual “Christmas for Kids” toy drive starting Monday Nov. 20, 2023. The deadline for the applications is Friday Dec. 15, 2023.

Burn Ban in effect until March 8

Due to the possibility of high winds and continued dry conditions, I, Lamb County Judge James DeLoach, have reinstated a burn ban for all ourdoor buring in Lamb County. This will be considered by the Commissioners Court on Dec. 27th.

Lamb Co. Library Lighted Christmas Parade; Open House

Come out and show your holiday spirit with the community during the Lamb County Library annual Lighted Christmas Parade and Open House, Friday, Dec. 15th. The parade will be held downtown and will start at 6:30 p.m. Line up is at 6 p.m. at the Resource Center and go down main street to the Library.

Band Students Compete at ATSSB All-Region Band

November 16, 2023, Littlefield Jr High School competed for a seat in the ATSSB Junior High All-Region Honor Band competition, held at Hale Center High School. Twenty seventh and eighth grade band students competed for a seat in this band. Eighteen of the twenty made it.

Commissioners hold regular meeting Monday

The Commissioners Court of Lamb County met on Monday, Dec. 11th in regular session at the Lamb County Courthouse in Littlefield. Lamb County Judge James DeLoach called the meeting to order and there was nobody present for public comment.

Commissioners to meet Monday

A meeting of the Lamb County Commissioners’ Court will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 11, 2023, in the Lamb County Courthouse, where a 15 – item agenda will be considered for appropriate action. After the Call to order, the public may request to make a public comment on any of the agenda items.
