A Tree Care and Maintenance Workshop will be held Friday, March 22nd at the Sudan Community Center at 109 E. 1st Ave in Sudan, Texas, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The workshop will begin at 9:30 a.m. with coffee and donuts being served.

KOC to host Fish Fry

The Knights of Columbs Assembly 7882 of Sacred Heart Church in Littlefield, will be hosting a fish fry every Friday night until Easter. The Fish Frys will be held on Feb. 23rd, March 1st, March 8th, March 15th, March 22nd and March 29th starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.

Commissioners hold regular meeting Monday

The Commissioners Court of Lamb County held their regular meeting on Monday, Feb. 26th, at the Lamb County Courthouse in Littlefield to discuss a 10-item agenda. Lamb County Judge James DeLoach called the meeting to order at 10 a.m. and there was nobody present for public comment.

Hockley County wreck results in one dead, two injured

On Sunday, Feb. 25, 2024, at around 3:22 p.m. a two vehicle crash in Hockley County on Hwy 114, .06 of a mile east of Levelland resulted in one dead and one injured. A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2023 Chevy Malibu was exiting from a driveway on the north side of State Highway 114.

Early voting began Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2024, and will conclude on Friday, March 1st, in the Lamb County Clerk’s office in the Courthouse, for both of the county-wide March 5, 2024 Republican Party, and Democratic Party Primary Elections.
