State Sales Tax Revenue Totaled $4 Billion in May

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar today said state sales tax revenue totaled $4.01 billion in May, 4.5 percent more than in May 2023. The majority of May sales tax revenue is based on sales made in April and remitted to the agency in May.The five Lamb County cities received a combined total of $143,813.

Arianna Cruz to continue basketball career at WBU

On Thursday, Littlfield’s Arianna Cruz signed her Letter of Intent to continue her Basketball and Academic career at Wayland Baptist University.Cruz signed her letter at 55 Buckets Gym in Lubbock.

Texas High Plains Crop Conditions Are a Mixed Bag, Per Usual

While planters are still rolling, it’s estimated that 75% of the Texas High Plains cotton planting has been completed. Some areas have received moisture over the spring while others are still coming up short.
