Commissioners hold regular meeting Monday

The Commissioners Court of Lamb County met in regular session on Monday, May 13th in the Lamb County Courthouse in Littlefield to discuss a 12-item agenda. Lamb County Judge James DeLoach called the meeting to order at 10 a.m.

Property Tax Protest and Appeal Procedures

The law gives property owners the right to protest actions concerning their property tax appraisals. You may follow these appeal procedures if you have a concern about: • the market or special appraised value placed on your property • the unequal appraisal of your property • the inclusion of your property on the appraisal roll • any exemptions that may apply to you • the qualification for an agricultural or timber appraisal • the taxable status of your property • the local governments which should be taxing your property • the ownership of property • the change of use of land receiving special appraisal • any action taken by the chief appraiser, appraisal district or appraisal review board that applies to and adversely affected you.

Littlefield High School EMT-Basic students and Littlefield EMS members practiced an Extrication drill, that also involved Lfd. Fire Dept., LHC, LPD Dispatch and All-Ways Towing. Students were able to practice how to properly assess and treat a patient during a trauma related scenario. A meeting of the Lamb County Commissioners’ Court will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2024, in the Lamb County Courthouse, where a 12—item agenda will be considered for appropriate action.
