Littlefield resident sentenced to 30 years for 2023 murder

Littlefield resident Edwin Gutierrez received a 30-year prison sentence and pleaded guilty to the murder of 30-year-old Edward Jimenez Jr. in 2023. Gutierrez committed the act at 17 years old.In January of 2023, the Littlefield Police Department responded to a call reported from Jimenez Jr.

Wildcats take down rival Muleshoe, 9-3

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity baseball team swept the season series with Muleshoe on Tuesday, taking their second meeting of the season, 9-3.With the win, the Wildcats improve to 15-7 overall, 6-3 in district play.

KOC to host Fish Fry meal on Fridays

The Knights of Columbus Assembly 7882 of Sacred Heart Church in Littlefield, will be hosting a fish fry every Friday night until Good Friday.The Fish Fry’s will be held on April 11, starting at 5 p. m. in the Parish Hall.
