Blessy Montes took the circle for Sudan in the bottom half of the first inning.

Bryanna Munoz had a pop up fall behind Ramirez at second base, bringing on Caitlyn Correa as the courtesy runner for the catcher. Correa was canned at second base by Kalissa Harris on a steal attempt; Toscano was there for the tag for out number one. Martinez would rope a double to the leftfield fence to put a runner on for the Lady Wolves and Goodney singled to Lexi Jennings at third, as Martinez advanced to third on the throw, putting runners on the corners with one out.

Goodney broke for second on a pitch and the throw down to second by Harris was cut off by Toscano and thrown back to the plate, but the throw was off the mark allowing two runs to score, trimming the lead to, 3-2. Montes got Mia Obenhaus to strike out swinging for out number two, but Taelynn Oden had a double fall in right-center field to give Colorado City another base runner. Montes would recover, as she got Ramon to pop up to Harris on the plate to end the inning.

Montes hit an RBI-single under the glove of Epperson at third to stretch the lead to, 4-2, but a few plays later, Toscano was thrown out at third by Munoz trying to steal to retire the side.

The Sudan defense came out strong in the bottom half of the second, as Alyssa Woodell laid down a bunt on the first-base side that was fielded by Montes and thrown to first for the out. Epperson singled to right field, but Montes got Avery English to strike out swinging for out number two and she got Munoz to pop up to Laynee Jennings in foul territory at first to end the inning.

The score remained, 4-2, until the bottom of the fourth inning when Ramon led things off for the Lady Wolves with a triple to leftcenter field. However, they would be stranded on base, as Montes got Woodell to pop up to Laynee Jennings in foul territory at first base to end the inning.

The Nettes came to the plate in the top of the seventh needing five runs to play on. Sanchez drew a lead-off walk, but Lexi Jennings struck out swinging for out number one.
