The Springlake-Earth junior high cross country teams competed at the Oil Patch Invitational in Sundown on Saturday. On the girl’s side, Amethyst Huerta placed eighth overall, clocking a time of 15:23.37.

Mustangs thump longhorns, 52,21 for homecoming victory

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity football team celebrated homecoming on Friday with a, 52-21, victory over the Vega Longhorns at Mustang Stadium to close out the pre-district schedule. With the win, the Mustangs improve to 4-1 overall on the season.

The Olton Colt and Fillies’ varsity cross country team competed at the Oil Patch Invitational in Sundown on Saturday. On the girl’s side, Xavery Arredondo finished 12th overall with a time of 15:40.56, while Gabriella Reyes finished 19th overall with a time of 15:49.85.
