Head Coach Ross Lassiter talked about how the bye week was beneficial for them, saying, “The off week came at a good time to help us recover from a few bumps and bruises.

LADY WOLVERINES’ CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS COMPETE AT PLAINVIEW

The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ cross country team competed at Plainview last weekend finishing fourth as a team with 94 points. The Lady Wolverines were led by freshman, Taytum Goodman, who placed first overall with a time of 11:00.22 and freshman, DeDe Delgado, who finished 10th overall with a time of 13:35.74.

Mustang cross country team competes at Plainview Meet

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity cross country team competed at Plainview this past weekend, finishing fourth as a team with 87 points. Freshman, Jacob Escobedo, led the Mustangs with a 10th place finish, clocking a time of 19:20.08.

BULLDOGS TOP WILDCATS, 56-8

The Amherst Bulldogs’ varsity football team went on the road and took down the Wellman-Union Wildcats on Friday night, 56-8. With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 3-1 overall on the season.

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity football team dropped their Homecoming game to the Idalou Wildcats on Friday night, 35-6, for their third consecutive loss. With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 1-3 overall on the season.
