Brent Green steps down as Lfd. Athletic Director

Littlefield Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Brent Green stepped down last week, after 26 years with the Wildcats athletic program. “It was a tough decision, but playing off of how long I have been here, the 26 years, it’s a grind,” Green said.

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity football team edged out the Lubbock Titans last week, 62-58, to improve to 14-1 overall on the season. Olton had a big first quarter, pouring in 20 points to take a 12-point lead, 20-8, into quarter number two.

Lady Wolverines take over first in district

The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity basketball team took down the Kress Lady Roos on Friday, 75-34, to take over sole possession of first place in the district race. With the win, the Lady Wolverines improve to 8-3 overall, 5-0 in district play.
