The Littlefield Wildcat and Lady Cat’ varsity and JV cross country teams competed at the Oil Patch Invitational in Sundown on Saturday, where the Wildcats placed seventh overall as a team.
On the boy’s side, th Wildcats were led by Ramiro Candelario, who placed 17th overall with a time of 19:47.33.
Omar Martinez finished 29th with a time of 20:34.91, while Braedy Saenz finished 45th with a time of 21:43.98, and Brandon Marines finished 54th with a time of 21:59.33.
Cesar Garcia finished 65th with a time of 22:57.44, while Isaiah Rodriguez finished 66th with a time of 23:03.43, and Anastasio Ayala finished 67th with a time of 23:05.20.
On the girl’s side, the Lady Cats were led by Brinley Acevedo, who finished 29th overall with a time of 15:37.50.
Ari Castillo finished 61st with a time of 17:14.71, and Brianna Martinez finished 69th with a time of 17:38.98.
On the JV boy’s side, Damon Salazar finished 18th with a time of 26:08.66, while Tyson Cristan finished 20th with a time of 26:34.32, and Adam MacDonald finished 21st with a time of 26:55.68.
Ky Hays finished 23rd with a time of 27:43.00 and Aron Cueto finished 25th with a time of 28:13.03.
On the girl’s JV side, Jasmine Castillo placed 2nd overall with a time of 15;15.01, and Samantha Duran finished 17th with a time of 18:47.26.
The Littlefield cross country teams will be competing at District on Oct. 10th.
