S-E Jr. High Cross Country teams at Sundown

The Springlake-Earth junior high cross country teams competed at the Oil Patch Invitational in Sundown on Saturday. On the girl’s side, Amethyst Huerta placed eighth overall, clocking a time of 15:23.37.

Brianne Welch finished 25th overall with a time of 15:56.52, while Brizza Reyes finished 74th with a time of 17:58.45, and Violeta Chavez finished 89th overall with a time of 18:25.81.

Bryleigh Hall finished 134th with a time of 24:34.61.

On the boy’s side, Josiah Castillo finished 68th overall with a time of 16:17.33.

The Springlake-Earth junior high cross country teams will be competing at District in Tulia on Oct. 10th.
