Lady Wolverines Cross Country finish 4th at Sundown Oil Patch Invitational

The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity and JV cross country teams competed at the Oil Patch Invitational in Sundown on Saturday, where the varsity finished fourth overall out of 11 teams.

They were led by senior, Taytum Goodman, who placed first over-all, clocking a time of 12:19.27.

Aryca Ibarra finished 12th overall with a time of 15:03.44, while Emma Samaron finished 40th overall with a time of 16:00.15, and Rylie Furr finished 41st with a time of 16:01.23.

Yareli Cortez finished 43rd with a time of 16:05.48, while Marisela Rodriguez finished 59th with a time of 17:08.63, and Jessica Mendoza finished 60th with a time of 17:10.52.

On the JV side, Xailei Huerta finished 15th with a time of 18:14, while Kaitlyn Samaron finished 18th with a time of 18:59.

The Lady Wolverines will be competing at District in Tulia on Oct. 10th.
