The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity volleyball team won a thriller last Friday in their home-district opener, as they rallied past the Tulia Lady Hornets, 3-2.

With the win the Lady Cats improved to 14-9 overall, 1-2 in district play.

The Lady Cats won the first set, before dropping the next two, falling behind, 1-2, in the match.

They would rally to take set four and then took the deciding fifth set to take the match, 3-2.

Kennadi Hanlin had 30 digs, two blocks, four assists, three kills and one ace, while Madi Brown added 20 digs and Bryndle Ray tallied 18 digs, 13 assists and two aces. Bri Valdez chipped in 17 digs and 13 assists, while Taryn Golden contributed seven digs and two kills, and Amiah Elizondo finished with seven digs, one block and three kills.

Myli Hernandez tallied six digs, six kills, five blocks, one assist and one ace, while Maggie McNeese chipped in five blocks and six kills and Julie Bownds added one block, two digs and 17 kills. Cali Saldana finished with seven digs, one assist and three aces.
