This virus has been the hardest one in the last one hundred years.

Have we learned something from this pandemic? I believe we have.

We see some statistics: Up to today, there have been 460 million cases, worldwide. In the United States the number is 79 million and nearly 3 million have died. In Texas, 7 million cases and 85 thousand died.

It truly has been catastrophic. What have we learned? I will answer with the Word of God. Let’s read James 4:14 “How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone.”

Personally, I have a family member and friends who have passed away from Covid, and they are all different ages. I know you have also suffered losses of loved ones from this virus.

In the Gospel of Luke, Chapter 12, it speaks to us about a rich man that constructed some granaries to prepare to live many years more. But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you.”

One thing I have learned, is to take care of our immune system, having good defenses. This does not mean we can get Covid, but if our defenses are high, it can avoid death.

Finally: Why are you and I alive? Let’s try and enjoy the time that we have to live. One day we will all die, but let’s not get ahead of that time.

May the Lord bless you, and give you long life.
