What does this word “Submit” really mean and what does it mean for us to submit to God?

The biblical concept of submission is “the action or fact of accepting or yielding to a superior force or to the will or authority of another person.”

Submitting means putting others before yourself, submitting means not always doing what you want to do, submitting means putting God’s desires above your own desires.

Church, when we submit to God, we give our lives to His authority and His control...See many Christians, claim to belong to God but are not willing to (Submit) to God much less be Committed to God . See, many have surrendered

See, many have surrendered and submitted to Christ at Salvation, but are not fully surrendering and submitting to Him in their daily lives. That means in our marriages, in our relationships, in our workplace, in our ministries, with our families, in our character, and even in our personalities.

See, but there is a “human problem” with submission:

(Romans 8:7) says-For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot.

We can’t even live this life submitted to God without first being born again!

Biblical Christian submission isn’t an act of human will, it is divine work!

We begin submission to God by believing in Jesus as God’s Son who rose from the dead to give us eternal life. Romans 10:9 states-that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Oh what great news that is, that we would be empowered to live for Father God after receiving the Son Jesus Christ!!!!

For it is only through the gift and power of the Holy Spirit that we can now submit to God’s authorities Amen.

My brothers & sisters, my hope is that we as the body of Christ would be submitted and committed! Amen

If nothing else, let us follow our Savior’s great example:

The most perfect act of submission I believe is found in the Garden of Gethsemane the night before our Lord’s crucifixion. He draws us into a vision of Jesus in communion with the Father. Jesus in anguish faces the horrors of the cross and His words are remembered through all the ages to come!

In (Matthew 26:39) it says concerning our Lord - He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.”

Even with the terror of death that He faced, Christ does not exercise His own will but obeys His Father...

Dear friends, my prayer is that we allow “All” areas of our lives to be submitted and committed to God and placed under His authority, for there is no better position to be in than that of humble submission and honor to Father and to those in the house of faith. It is only in this way that we will ever experience our lives supernaturally transformed, and now making an impact in the lives of all those we encounter as well! Amen.

With love, Your brother in Christ,

Pastor Billy, Montes
