Marilyn Kay Nix Cox passed away in her home on Friday, January 21, 2022 in Temple, Texas. She was 79 years old. She had battled many health issues for the last year. A memorial service was held at First United Methodist Church - Family Life Center in Temple on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 10 a.m.

Kim McElroy, 55, of Lubbock, formerly of Littlefield, passed away Sunday, Jan. 23, 2022 in Lubbock.

Family and friends of Det. Leo Ponce gathered to recite the Holy Rosary at 7 pm on Monday, January 24, 2022, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Mass was celebrated in honor of his life of 60 years at 10 am Tuesday, January 25, 2022, Holy Spirit Catholic Church. The Olton Police Department’s honor guard honored their fallen brother, Leo, at the services and accompanied him to Ropesville Cemetery in Ropesville, Texas.
