Ramon Lucero Perea, 88, of Littlefield, passed away Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023 in Lubbock. He was born April 18, 1935 in Fort Sumner, New Mexico to Ascencion Perea and Tomasita Lucero.
Ramon was a cowboy at heart and in life. He enjoyed tending to the cattle on the feed lot, taking care of animals and riding horses. He loved being a cowboy. He liked to watch old western movies, especially John Wayne movies. He loved his family dearly.
Funeral Mass was held Wednesday morning, Dec. 13, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Littlefield, with Father Jeff Church officiating. Rosary was held Tuesday evening, Dec. 12, 2023 at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers were Zachary Perea, Dusty Davila, Rene Hernandez, Jerry Hernandez, Timothy Lopez, and Anthony Delafuente. Honorary pallbearers were Cruz Anzaldua, and Felix Davila. Funeral services were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield, TX.
