WAYNE YOHNER

Wayne Yohner, 88, of Littlefield passed away Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2021 at home. He was born Jan. 14, 1933 in Loraine, TX to Pete Conrad Yohner and Alma Marie (Davidson) Yohner.

At 19 years of age, Wayne enlisted in the United States Army, along with his twin brother Dwayne, where they traveled together and served in Korea. While stationed in Louisiana, he met Lois Rainwater and the couple married Oct. 4, 1953 in DeRidder, LA. Wayne was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a hard worker when he was physically able, and drove a truck for many years. Wayne was a member of the Littlefield VFW.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Lois Yohner of Littlefield; four sons, John Yohner and wife, Jan of Whitney, TX, Pete Yohner of Salado, TX, Kerry Yohner of Whitney, TX and Sandy Yohner of DeRidder, LA; grandchildren, Ben Yohner of Forney, TX, Jerry Yohner and wife, Maria of Merceded, TX, Marcus Yohner of Lubbock, Stephen Yohner and wife, Randi of Bryan, TX, Mariah Finck and husband, James of Belton, TX, Ayla Dunn and husband, Devon of Salado, TX and Brandon Yohner, Cody Yohner and Haley Yohner all of Salado, TX; thirteen great grandchildren; two siblings, Barbara Yohner and Billy Yohner both of Grandbury, TX; brother-in-law Raymond Rainwater of DeRidder, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his twin brother, Dwayne Yohner.

Services were held Monday morning, Aug. 16, 2021 at Grace Chapel in Littlefield with Rev. Rachael Petty officiating. Interment with military honors followed at Littlefield Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers were Ben Yohner, Jerry Yohner, Marcus Yohner, Steven Yohner, Brandon Yohner and Kerry Yohner. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Littlefield EMS (PO Box 1267, Littlefield TX 79339). Arrangements were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
