Sue Bowman, 84, of Littlefield went to be with her Lord Thursday, August 12, 2021. She was born March 6, 1937, in Fieldton, Texas to Wayne Cowen and Georgia (Edwards) Cowen.

Sue married Harold Ray 'Doc' Bowman on October 22, 1953, in Amherst. She was an athlete and loved sports. She and Doc spent many hours together on the farm, golf course or fishing. Sue was an avid Bridge player for over 50 years. She was a happy woman with a sweet spirit and never complained about a thing. Most of all, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren who lovingly called her Granny Sue or Nana Sue.

Sue is survived by her daughter, Donna Moreland and husband, Greg of San Angelo; son, Rocky Bowman and wife, Tracy of Littlefield; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Bowman of Littlefield; six grandchildren; Becky Adamson of Lubbock, Travis Moreland and wife, Amber of Wall, Brandon Bowman and wife, America of Littlefield, Bryson Bowman and wife, Audra of Lubbock, Carson Bowman and wife, Halee of Shallowater and Justin Bowman and wife, Katelyn of Lubbock; ten great-grandchildren and one on the way.

Waiting for her in Also surviving her is a sister and best friend, Nita Short of Littlefield; sisters-in-law, Mary Alice Cowen and Judy Bowman of Lubbock; brother-in-law, Donnie Bowman and wife, Janie of College Station; and other extended family members.

Waiting for her in Heaven was her husband, Doc Bowman who passed July 13, 1998; a son, Connie Bowman; a brother, Donald Cowen; her parents; and a brother-in-law, Bobby Short.

Services were held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at Crescent Park Church of Christ with Jim Harris officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Littlefield Memorial Park on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at 10 a.m. Serving as pallbearers will be Travis Moreland, Brandon Bowman, Bryson Bowman, Carson Bowman, Justin Bowman and Brendon Bowman. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
