Mary "Gerri" Yauger, Mommom, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away on December 13, 2025, at the age of 91. Graveside Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at East End Cemetery in Lingleville, TX.
Born on April 30, 1934, in Salesville, Texas, to Jake and Bonnie Grantham, Gerri spent her early years in Lingleville before moving to Wolfforth, TX where she graduated from Frenship High School in 1950.
Gerri dedicated many years to her work as a home interiors distributor, but her true passions were her faith and her family. She loved Jesus and demonstrated this devotion through her active service at First Baptist Church of Littlefield, TX for over 35 years before finding a new home at Calvary Baptist Church of Canyon.
Known for her warm heart and welcoming spirit, Gerri loved entertaining and cooking for family and friends. Her home was always open to those in need of a meal or a little company. She also had a playful side, enjoying games and making memories with those she loved.
She is survived by her children, Kathy Shipp and husband, Gary of Canyon, TX, Mary K. Norman and husband, Jim of Madisonville, KY, Gaylord Sanders of Madisonville, KY and Juanita Sacco and husband, Dale of Canyon, TX; grandchildren, Wesley Melcher, Russell Melcher and wife, Elizabeth, Kaci Bohn and husband, Lee, Branden Fritz and wife, Megan, Jordan Fritz and Laci Rye and husband, Jerod and great grandchildren, Jianna Melcher, Blakely Melcher, Slaton Melcher, Brogan Bohn, Asher Bohn, Kason Bohn, Briana Fritz, Austin Fritz, Lucas Fritz, Natalie Fritz, Aidan Redd and Kadi Fritz.
Gerri was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; one brother; her great grandchild, Barrett Bohn; and her husband of 51 years, Gene Yauger.
