Martha Wray Hobgood Spradley, 88, of Anton, peacefully went to her Heavenly home on Monday, March 1, 2021. She was born to Jim J. and Allene Hobgood on June 10, 1932 in Lubbock County, Texas.
Martha married Kenneth “Corky” Harold Spradley Feb. 17, 1951 in Anton, Texas. The were blessed with 64 years of marriage. They lived and farmed in Hockley County. Martha was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Anton.
Martha is survived by two sons, Danny James Spradley and wife, Stella of Anton and Timmy Harold Spradley of Fort Worth; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and one on the way; a nephew; a niece and other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kenneth “Corky” Spradley on Feb. 4, 2015; a son, Randy Wray Spradley; her parents; and a brother, J. Walter Hobgood.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Anton Cemetery with Pastor David Carpenter officiating. A come and go visitation was held from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the loving care of their Mother for the last six years by Eva Reyes, Irene Gonzales and Jeneva Gonzales.
