Jan. 4, 1945 ~ Jan. 18, 2026
It is with great sadness to announce that Linda Dale Pickrell, 81, of Littlefield, Texas passed away on January 18, 2026. Linda was born on January 4, 1945, to Howard Dale and Henryetta Walthall in Pryor, Oklahoma.
Linda graduated from Littlefield High School. She met the love of her life, Bennie Pickrell, after he was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps and returned to West Texas. The couple got married on August 30, 1963, and had three children together. Although they lost their daughter Sasha soon after birth, they were blessed with two sons, Shawn and Shea, and raised their niece, Tonya, as their own daughter. They made their home in Littlefield, where they raised their family. Linda was very active in her family's lives, serving as Cub Scout Troop leader, helping Bennie at the Littlefield Masonic Lodge with meals every month, and hosting countless weddings and baby showers at her home to celebrate people and life's joyous moments. Linda and Bennie loved to travel, especially to the mountains because they were both avid skiers. Linda was a devoted wife and loved spending time with her husband. She could often be found walking the golf course while Bennie played golf, cheering on the Wildcats at home and away games, and on Sundays, the couple were always in church with their family.
More than anything in life, Linda loved being a 'Mammers' to her grandchildren. She loved helping her grands on weekends and they often did not want to go back home when their slumber parties were over. Linda was involved in every aspect of her grandchildren's lives, whether it was sports or academics. She was an avid 'picture taker', documenting every moment of life for her family. She created incredible scrapbooks for her grandchildren; a priceless gift they will always cherish. Linda was a hard worker. She worked for R&W Supply in Littlefield since she was eighteen years old. She was a prayer warrior, who was intentional in her prayers for family, friends, and strangers. She prayed many people through the hardest times of their lives and sent countless prayer notes to people. Linda valued the power of prayer and loved to rejoice in God's answered blessings and praises.
She is survived by two sons, Shawn Pickrell and wife, Kimberly of Littlefield, Texas, Shea Pickrell and wife, Kimothy of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Tonya and spouse, Mitch; eight grandchildren, Justin, Jaci, Josh, Dakota, Damian, Kimberlin, Cole, and JP; eight great-grandchildren, Lyla, Liah, Luke, Kerleigh, Brynleigh, Rayleigh, Scottie, and Scout; a sister, Charlene Halley of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and countless cousins, nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends.
Linda Pickrell was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bennie Lee Pickrell; and their daughter, Sasha Pickrell.
