In Loving Memory Of Jerry Gene Cooper

Jerry Gene Cooper, 72, of Anton, passed away Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020 in Lubbock. He was born Jan. 23, 1948 in Brady, TX to Rex and Pauline Cooper.

Jerry married Kathleen Thomas, and she passed away Feb. 23, 2007. He married Mary Williamson Sept. 2, 2018. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. Jerry enjoyed fishing, traveling, and playing dominoes and going to casinos. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandbabies. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Anton.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Cooper of Anton; two daughters, Kathryn Lee Carlisle and husband, Kirk of Anton and Amy Rojas and husband, Larry of Littlefield; nine grandchildren: CJ, Krysta, Lane, Jackie, Sara, Michael, Ty, Sky, and Mariah; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Garland Cooper of Anton; three sisters, Sherron Isenberg of Kenefic, OK, Helen Jennings of Littlefield and Ginger Stanley of Greenwood, TX; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two grandchildren, “Rojas twins”; and two brothers, Reginald and Harvey Cooper.

Graveside services were held at 1 p.m., Monday, Oct. 19, 2020 at Anton Cemetery with Pastor Tanner Wilson and Toby Isenberg officiating. Serving as pallbearers were CJ Carlisle, Ty Rojas, Logan Knox, Dusty Cannon, Chase Cannon, and Dale Cooper. Honorary pallbearers were Justin Cox, Jeff Whitten, Tommy Welch, Mike Husemann and Ray Cooper. Arrangements were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
