Betty Jean Neugebauer, 90, passed on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021. Celebration of Life service will be Jan. 21, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel in Lubbock. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Betty was born Jan. 22, 1930 in Morton, TX to E.C. and Ettie Martin Hanna, the second of eight children. She graduated from Morton High School and went on to become an LVN, working in several area hospitals over the years. ,1,

She married Alvin “Buddy” Neugebauer on March 18, 1981 in Clovis, NM. She was an active member for many years at St. Matthew Methodist Church in Lubbock. She was a member of the Nifty-Fifty Car Club until moving to Littlefield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Buddy; sisters: Pearly Dee Kiker, Bonnie Heath, Doris Richardson, Joyce McGee; brothers: Buddy Hanna, Royce Hanna, and H.L. Hanna; and a step-son, Shelby Neugebauer.

Betty is survived by her son, Len Ivey of Seymour, TX; daughter, Cassandra Waldrop (Tommy) of Littlefield; step-daughter, Sheila Neugebauer of Lubbock; grandson, Brent Waldrop (Belisa) of Lubbock; granddaughter, Aimee Gray (Chad) of Shallowater; and four great-grandchildren: Cooper and Emma Gray and Gabby and Addison Waldrop.
