Jim Bob Dickey, 75, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026, in Anton, Texas. He was born on Sept. 20, 1950, in Cotton Center, Texas to James Walton Dickey, Sr. and Helen Dickey Milsap.
Jim Bob was married to his wife, Katherine Diane Dickey, for 24 years. Jim Bob owned and operated Dickey’s Automotive in Anton for many years, where he was a heck of a mechanic and could fix anything. He took a break from being a mechanic for a few years to do some truck driving all over the U.S.
Jim Bob’s hobbies included adventures in four wheeling, working on cars, creating videos of his family, friends, and the history of Anton, and playing pool at the Senior Citizens.
Jim Bob is survived by his beloved wife; two children and their spouses; six grandchildren; three brothers and their spouses; two sisters and a brother-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
Jim Bob is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the Church of Christ in Anton, Texas. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield, Texas.
