Gregorio Martinez Lopez, age of Dimmitt, passed away on Monday, Dec. 14, 2020. Funeral services and interment at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020 with Father Angelo Consemino from Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Littlefield officiating. Visitation will be held in the Chapel of Hammons Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 to 8 Pm^*

Gregorio “George” Martinez Lopez, of Dimmitt, TX died on Dec. 14, 2020 in Dimmitt, TX. George was born on May 25,1940 in Edcouch, TX to Cresencio and Maria Lopez. He worked at White’s Auto until he was able to purchase the EXXON gas station on Broadway, Shell gas station, and a Mobile gas station and eventually having the just the EXXON gas station on Broadway Street until his retirement. George enjoyed being with his animals on his farmland.

George married Lucia Martinez of Fabens, TX in Nov. 1961 and had two daughters, Linda Reyes, and Lori Clark. After their divorce George had another daughter with Ida Garcia, Georgina Garcia.
