Elton Dave "Buddy" Bingham died Sept. 13,2020, at the age of 87 in Littlefield, Texas. He had been a resident of Arbor Grace Wellness Center since 2019. He died of natural causes.

Mr. Bingham was born in Goree, Texas, on June 15, 1933. His parents were William David Bingham and Clara Francis Wilson Bingham. Both died in 1942. Also preceding Mr. Bingham in death were siblings: J.T. Bingham, Brady Bingham, Clara "Bill" Pol sen, Margaret "Bobbi" Haskin, Dean Bingham and Barbara Garrett.

Mr. Bingham resided in Littlefield tor many years farming in Deaf Smith, Lamb and Hockley counties. In addition to being a successful and well respected farmer, he served on the Littlefield Chamber of Commerce as an agriculture officer, and was a trustee of the Littlefield Independent School District where he served as President. Mr. Bingham was also a commercial real estate broker. He was a member of the Ninth Street Church of Christ in Littlefield, and later, Broadway Church of Christ in Lubbock.

He is survived by daughters Tanya Currey of Lubbock and Thriess Britton ofDallas. One grandchild, Mary-Margaret Scaggs ofDallas and two great-grandchildren, Marin Scaggs and Pierson Scaggs of Dallas.

Mr. Bingham is also survived by sister, Ethel Jacqueline Lynn Hanna of Midland, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews: Bradene Bingham of Marietta, Georgia, Francele "Frankie' Crump of Amarillo, Texas, Roxene Reeves of Ochelata, Oklahoma, Candy Estes of Goree, Texas, Darla Ivy Stedman of Willits, California, Linda Hollabaugh ofWichita Falls, Texas, Terri Haden of Midland, Texas, and Larry Lynn of Kingsland, Texas.

Hillcrest Funeral Home of Littlefield directed the interment at the Old Seymour Cemetery in Seymour, Texas, on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2020.
