ASUNCION MOSQUEDA

Asuncion “Joanie” Mosqueda, 64, of Earth, TX, passed away on Dec. 1, 2020. Joanie was born to Francisco & Epifania Rivera on Feb. 20, 1956, in Bronte, TX. She graduated from Olton High School and married Alfonso Mosqueda, on Sept. 7, 1974. She had two children, Jason and Michael.

Joanie enjoyed playing softball, volleyball, and golf. For over 30 years she worked as a Content Mastery Teacher’s Aid and school bus driver for Springlake-Earth ISD. She enjoyed baking and wreath making. She was a devout Roman Catholic and served both Saint Mary Magdalen and Saint Peter’s Catholic Church and teached the Catechism to the youth of her community for over 35 years.

Graveside services were held Saturday morning, Dec. 5, 2020, at Olton Cemetery, with Fr. Jacob Powell officiating and under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors. Rosary was said Friday evening, Dec. 4, 2020, at Ramage Funeral Directors.
