Mike Hill announces candidacy for Pct. 4

By JOE GONZALES

Mike Hill will quickly and easily tell you why he feels he’s qualified to be the next Lamb County Commissioner for Precinct 4.

“I feel like I’m the kind of guy that will get things done,” said Hill. “I’m not a talker, I’m a doer. I feel like I let my actions speak more for me than my words.” Hill has been a member of Sudan Fire/EMS since 1981 and has served as chief for numerous years. He also looks to the confidence others have in his abilities as a plus for Precinct 4. “Several years ago, when Judge Thompson was still our County Judge, the county had an issue come up where the City of Littlefield could not continue to respond to rural fires at the current compensation for response,” said Hill.

“The County Judge and Commissioners’ Court called me and asked for me to try and come up with a solution for that, and I did. I didn’t do it alone, but after putting together a committee, we were able to come up with a solution.”
