Lamb County Library Schedules New Summer Activities, July 9-30

The Lamb County Library is offering a full lineup of summer activities this July, giving families and students a variety of ways to stay reading and engaged during the break.

The schedule includes multiple themed events and opportunities that are designed to encourage creativity and community involvement for all age groups.

This month’s activities started off with a Family Movie Night featuring a free showing of The Goonies at 6 p.m. on July 2.

For upcoming events, on July 9, the library will host a Craft Night with Ms. Julie-Ann Bownds from 6 to 8 p.m. The event will give participants the opportunity to create their own craft projects and is open to anyone aged 5 and up.

On July 16 at 6 p.m., the library will hold a painting workshop led by Mrs. Sussan Bell from Brush Strokes Studio in Levelland. The event will be open to anyone age 12 and up, and families that are planning to attend will need to register in advance. On July 23, for National Craft for Your Local Animal Shelter Day, the library will host a DIY dog toy workshop from 6 to 8 p.m. Participants of all ages are invited to help create toys that will be donated to the Littlefield Animal Shelter.

The last event of the month will be held on July 30 at 6 p.m. with a Junk Journal workshop open to participants ages 12 and older, and will focus on creating personalized journals using recycled and craft materials.
